Restrained fruit nose but showing the ripe but fresh fruit style of the vintage. Closed but nevertheless showing all the textured minerality typical of this eternally overdelivering Bourgogne Blanc. There is always such harmony and drinkability in Javillier’s Oligocene as well as a consistently high quality that belies its official status.
In true Puligny style, however, it is linear, racy and fresh, with citrus notes behind, restrained and more serious than the Forgets, with a deliciously long finish.
