Panza by Quixote Cabernet Sauvignon Stags’ Leap Napa 2018 |
An excellent find and a fantastic wine! This comes from a quirky winery in the Stags Leap district of Napa. Highly recommend all their wines. So yummy! Loved it!
Fantastic bottle. Stags Leap esque. Full bodied with deep fruit flavors. Great spice and a smooth finish ,great value for Napa Cabernet, if not more, rewards. Can’t miss bottle.
Panza is the second label from Quixote Winery; it’s made from the organic fruit from the Estate, but unlike Quixote wines, it's available outside of the winery. Legendary winemaker Philippe Melka is the winemaker and his style works magic with the Stag's Leap District fruit. Restrained fruit, yet dark and dense with cedar box, underbrush, plums, mulberries, and notes of chocolate from the 100% French barrel aging. Fruity, spicy, soft, and bold.
Aromas of cherry, menthol, orange blossom and violet bound out of the glass with flavors of cherry and raspberry hitting the front of the palate giving way to chocolate, cocoa, and leather on the finish. A medium-bodied Cabernet with soft tannins on the approach, building to a juicy finish with bright acids. Open now and enjoy it for lunch or dinner.
This wine pairs well with beef or "meatier" fish preparations.
