This pinor noir wine has wood spice and pungent earth notes that add depth to the ripe and largely red fruit-based nose. The big, powerful and concentrated flavors possess plenty of energy that helps to soften the mildly rustic and very firm tannic spine, spurring a spirited finish. Drink it with all kinds of red meat, game and cheeses.
100% Pinot Noir. Since 1797, on the prestigious terroirs of Vosne-Romanee and Vougeot, Lamarche's vineyards have offered the estate their precious fruit. From these terroirs, they produce fourteen different wines, including la Grande Rue, a monopole of the Estate, one of the rare grands crus of Vosne-Romanee. The Lamarche estate, which now boasts a total surface area of nearly 28 acres, is a family firm, whose origin goes back several generations. They have adopted integrated viticulture for all our vineyards, and they try to express both their terroir and their history in their wines. The wines all have in common that elegance which combines exceptional balance and a delicate nose.
