Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts and with a 4-week maceration in stainless steel. The wine is aged in used Burgundy barriques for 2-2.5 years, followed by at least 2 more years in bottle.
A small amount of sulfur is added after fermentation and at bottling only. Teroldego is not included in any Alto Adige IGT, hence the Vino Rosso classification and the abbreviated "Ty..." name and no vintage on the label
