• Nebbiolo and Croatina from a 2.5 hectare vineyard within the Municipality of Grignasco, on the Traversagna road that leads to Boca • 30-year-old vines planted at 400m above sea level • Volcanic porphyry soils that originated from the explosion of a supervolcano 280 million years ago • Nebbiolo and Croatina hand harvested in two separate passes in the second half of October • Nebbiolo fermentation takes place as partial whole cluster over 20 days with 2 months on the skins while Croatina is fermented as rosé • Wine is transferred to inert vessels before end of year and aged on its lees until the following spring • Bottling takes place at the end of summer and rests in bottle a minimum of 6 months prior to release • Approximately 830 cases produced in the first vintage
