Montesecondo Silvio Messana VDT Frizzante "Ghazii" (Rosé) 2021

The whole clusters are pressed and fermented spontaneously in tank without sulfur. The new wine is bottled with around 10 g/liter of sugar remaining and finishes fermenting to total dryness in the bottle.

The wine is not fined, filtered, disgorged (or ever sulfured) and does throw some sediment. "Ghazii" references Silvio's North African upbringing: with one "i" (ghazi) in Arabic means "sparkling" and with the double "ii" (ghazii) is a nickname for anti-colonial fighters.
