Monte Tondo Valpolicella Ripasso Campo Grande 2016 |
Wine resulting from the combination of skins (pomace) from grapes remaining after the production of Amarone and Valpolicelli and their re-fermentation. The result of this process is a wine with a more powerful structure, more intense color and increased alcohol content (14%). For at least 18 months, the wine matures in barrels and then poured into bottles another 8 months before it goes on sale. Red-ruby colored with deep dark red reflections, with an intense, durable and rich bouquet, dominated by aromas of forest fruit and cherry jam in spirit, but also violet notes, spices, especially nutmeg and cinnamon. In the mouth, very intense and long-lasting, with elegant tannins and structure.
The nose is very intense and persistent, with hints of wild berry jam, cherry in alcohol, dried violet, with spicy notes, in particular nutmeg and cinnamon. Great wine, structured and with a predisposition to a medium aging
