DESCRIPTION
Burgundy's 2014 vintage gave us silky, supple, reds with lovely fruit and plenty of classic Burgundy terroir. Here's a great example from 4.5 acres mainly in and near Vosne-Romanee. Ripe, hand-harvested, fruit is 100% destemmed, fermented in tank and then aged in twice-used French oak. There's a very pretty perfume of tangy red cherry, raspberry, violets and a hint of something earthy - or "animal" as the winemaker says.
On the palate it's very pure and fresh and transparent with a silky feel to the tart cherry/raspberry fruit. Stony minerality and fine tannins provide support to this very pretty, very delicious, Pinot Noir.
