The Mil Piedras Malbec from Mendoza in Argentina is a rich, lush, and full-flavored red wine. Inviting aromas of wild blackberry and fresh black currant lead to brilliant flavors of ripe raspberry with notes of toasty vanilla. The finish is long and smooth, making this perfect alongside savory stews and grilled meats.
Supple in texture, full bodied and very fruity in style with blackberry, plum, toast, and cassis aromas/flavors.
Solid berry and oak spice aromas turn darker and more rubbery as this airs out. A strong-boned, grabby palate holds medicinal berry and mild hickory flavors. On the finish, this is big but also tannic and bumpy.
