Meyer-Nakel Spatburgunder Sonnenberg 2015

The large Spätburgunder plant from the Neuenahrer Sonnenberg was expanded in oak barrels. The wine displays a beautiful aroma of cassis, cherries, blackberries, cocoa, licorice, cedar, tobacco, marzipan, cinnamon, cloves, some smoked meat and violets. 

Fleshy on the palate, juicy, velvety, very nice fruit, fine spicy, multi-layered, enormous flow of drink, very elegant and an almost endless long finish.
