With this Riesling, we've decided to drop the entry-level Riesling of the domain and offer this "Lieu-Dit" instead, which represents a big step-up in quality for just a few extra pounds. This is a very classy and feminine cuvée, offering fresh flavours of citrus, grapefruit and white peach - and a long, complex finish. A truly elegant wine from Katzenthal, one of the most prestigious villages of Alsace - and possibly the best "Non-Grand Cru" Riesling we ever had. It definitely shows how a gifted-winemaker Félix Meyer is.

This is a strenuously organic; gloriously dense, complex Riesling.There is incredible minerality, then touches of nut, a hint of lime and licorice, then a floral waft, before diving into the flicker of paraffin. All this in a three-year-old wine, meaning the 2006 is now on fire. Another two or three years and we can hope to see a similarly triumphant evolution.’
