Deep purplish, almost impenetrable red. Elegant, sweet and tempting, the intense and fruity notes characteristic of Barbera emerge. Vinous, fresh and well balanced. An easy to drink wine which is tasty and rich without being excessively binding.
Perfect with Langhe cuisine and very tasty dishes in general.
The 2016 Barbera d'Alba is a plump and juicy red wine with an inky-dark appearance. The wine is buoyant and fragrant, and that aromatic purity comes from the very heart and soul of the quality fruit produced in this balanced vintage. You really feel the Barbera grape here with no extra bells or whistles.
Excellent with pasta, rice and soup, braised or grilled red meats and medium-mature cheeses. It is also perfect for aperitifs, with appetizers and sliced meats.
