Martin Codax Rioja Ergo 2016

Ergo Rojo is a contemporary expression of centuries of Spanish winemaking and is crafted from the finest grapes grown in the warm, southeastern Spanish regions of Albacete and Jumilla. Ergo Rojo brings together Spain’s native grape, Monastrell (known elsewhere as Mourvèdre) with Syrah and Tempranillo in a stirring Red Blend.

The wine opens with vibrant aromas of blueberry and juicy blackberry and the palate shows alluring complexity. Pronounced dark cherry and plum fruit flavors are backed by plentiful spice notes. Fine tannins, hints of leather and forest floor integrate with vanilla and toasted oak to create a long, smooth finish.
