DESCRIPTION
NAME: Collio Bianco refers to the Collio territory. Molamatta, the wine's name, refers to the vineyard's location.
VARIETAL COMPOSITION: Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Ribolla Gialla, Friuliano.
VINEYARD: Located in the village of Farra D'Isonzo, composed of hilly terrain and layers of sandstone and loam rock.
FERMENTATION: Hand picked, gently pressed, stainless steel vats.
AGING: On the lees for 6 months, one month in bottle.
The best Italian whites come from the tiny top north-east corner and this is a classic blend of mainly Pinot Bianco and Friulano. Elegant and fresh with a great minerality, clean fruit and touches of a salty, savoury and herbiness to the palate.
