Marchesato Degli Aleramici Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2010 |
More than that, little else. The Reserve is the highest point of what Sangiovese can express in Montalcino, then in Tuscany, then in Italy, then in the world. A month of maceration on the skins, over four years of aging in Slavonian oak barrels and nearly a year of aging in the bottle lead to a wine of rare finesse and elegance.
A Brunello able to improve again for many years, to be followed carefully in its evolution and to be kept in jealousy in the cellar.
TASTING NOTES
Red deep and deep garnet, nose expresses hints of great amplitude and depth. Forest fruits enriched with liquorice notes, vanilla and star anise are the prelude to a fascinating and sinuous mouth. Structured and characterized by a soft and integrated tannic texture, it stands out for elegance before a character ending with great persistence.
PAIRINGS
Wide and elegant, Brunello di Montalcino Aleramici's Marchesato Reserve is a wine for great occasions, to be combined with wild game dishes or to sipping alone on the end of the meal.
