Lynmar Estate Chardonnay 2016

The 2016 Russian River Chardonnay is comprised entirely of Rued clone grown on their estate vineyard, Quail Hill. Pale straw in color, intriguing notes of honeysuckle, white peach, lemon zest and wet stone are immediately apparent. On the palate, hints of lemongrass, apricot and pomelo emerge and are framed by a fresh vibrant acidity. The elegant textured palate gives way to a long, clean, bright finish.

A gravelly texture lends complexity to this well-made celebration of the appellation. Sea salt meets lemon and green apple flavors, building toward more robust fig and pear characteristics. It's a beautiful wine, with a balanced approach to concentration and weight.
