The 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains (Maison Louis Jadot) is also a success, unfurling in the glass with aromas of dark berries, grilled game, rich soil tones and smoky new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with good depth and concentration, juicy acids and fine but firm structuring tannins that are classic Vaucrains.
This wine is quiet and alluring. Its aromas and flavors of ripe, wild strawberries, and is crisp finish should pair it nicely with grilled salmon.
