Givry vines are situated around the village of Givry, between Mercurey and Montagny, and around the three hamlets of Poncey, Cortiambles et Russilly. Its chalky brown soil, as a result of the weathering of Jurassic limestone, has given rise to a village appellation often compared to Volnay.
Red Givry from Maison Louis Jadot is clean tasting, rich and well balanced. This wine is noted for its warmth, liveliness and full bodied nature.
It will be best with charcuterie, pâté, savory pies, grilled or roasted meats, poultry and pressed cheeses.
Another wonderful classic of the Maison Louis Jadot, which once again proves its perfect mastery of the Givry appellation. Its modest bouquet of red fruits and vegetal notes is confirmed harmoniously on the palate.
