The Chardonnay Montrachet Grand Cru of the French winery Louis Jadot has been described by wine critics as one of the most extraordinary Chardonnays in the world. Louis Jadot's winery is located in the southern part of the Côte-d'Or wine region in Burgundy. The region is best known for its excellent red wines, but Louis Jadot's attention also goes for white wines. The Bâtard-Montrachet vineyards are located on slopes 250 meters above sea level. The weaving sticks benefit from a transitional climate in which continental influences predominate. Only the best Chardonnay grapes are used to produce the Batard Montrachet Grand Cru. The wine is fermented directly in the oak barrique, 18 months for the expansion. The result convinces the wine connoisseurs. The exquisite deeply shiny, golden yellow Chardonnay inspires with an aroma of almonds, peaches and ripe apples. The scent of honey, vanilla, jasmine, saffron and fine roasted notes tickles the nose.
The Louis Jadot Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru is powerful, muscular and lively on the palate and has a spicy and harmonious long aftertaste. This white wine looks even muscular on the tongue. The flavors spread with pressure, opening with citrus fruits and ends reverberating on buttery nuts!
