Vibrant, ripe, cherry red in color. Inviting aromasof sweet raspberry, dark cherry and bramble leaf on the nose. A delicate soft layer of sweet, red berry fruits overlays a subtle savoury layer of olives and bramble leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium weight with soft tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is of medium length with a clean, rich fruit finish. A great tasting Pinot!

Serving and Cellaring Suggestions: The 1999 Bin 99 shows wonderful freshness and definitive Pinot Noir, strawberry and cherry flavours. This is an early-drinking style wine but has enough intensity to keep over the next 12 months. This wine cries out for grilled rack of lamb but is also well suited to accompany chicken with balsamic marinade, rare grilled tuna steak, veal and duck. The 1999 Lindemans Bin 99 Pinot Noir showcases the merits of excellence in fruit sourcing from Lindemans` extensive vineyard holdings across Australia - in particular South Australia`s foremost wine growing areas, Coonawarra and Padthaway in the south-eastern part of the state.

This Bin 99 Pinot Noir was made by whole bunch fermenting in small French oak barrels and small batch open-top fermenters. This has enabled Lindemans to produce a complex, cool climate Pinot Noir which features the attractive fruit flavours, spicy oak and soft tannins which are traditionally associated with this variety.
