This easy-drinking wine jumps up with a burst of pretty cherry fruit. It's a good start, but that's the whole story, as the flavors and mouthfeel thin out from there. At this price it's a good everyday gulp.
Deep purple color. Smoky aromas and flavors of gilled berries, sour cherry conserve, smoked almonds, and marinated beets with a slightly chewy, crisp, dryish light body and a silky, relaxed finish with notes of cranberry-orange relish with crunchy tannins and light oak flavor. A smoky Pinot Noir that will pair well with grilled fare.
