Distilled at Lasso Motel's Bardstown campus from a rye-forward mash bill (60% rye, 30% corn, 10% malted barley), this straight whiskey rests eight years in new charred white oak barrels. Proprietary barrel warehousing-featuring both ground-level and elevated racks-promotes complex interaction with wood, delivering layers of toasted rye spice, black peppercorn and tobacco leaf. The region's humid summers and freezing winters drive wood expansion and contraction, extracting deep caramel, leather and roasted nut flavors.
