DESCRIPTION
This wine is made from fruit of the flinty soiled vineyards, 'terroir silex', surrounding on of the few châteaux in Sancerre. After fermentation in stainless steel it stayed on its lees until the April following harvest. The resulting wine has a very expressive nose of ripe fruits with some exotic fruits like mango also showing thorugh. On the palate it has a superb fresh minerality and crisp acidity balanced by a softness and roundness which allows the ripe fruit flavours to really show off.
Elegant and graceful, it's a great aperitif and a natural with things like smoked salmon, lobster and goat's cheese.
