DESCRIPTION
This golden hued Chardonnay was sourced from the Yamhill, Durant and Lange Estate Vineyards. It opens with aromatics of ripe pear, starfruit, white peach and New York apple with nutmeg. There are ripe flavors of brioche, Meyer lemon, Pazzaz apple and hints of baking spices that linger. The cream and mineral driven finish complete this excellent Chardonnay.
For this excellent blend, 25% new French oak was employed. It retains its vivid apple-flavored intensity, while bringing in pretty spice and a bit of buttered toast. The barrel aging helped to soften it up a bit. As young as it is, it drinks quite well and should hold until 2020.
