The Mermaid of Giscours 2014 presents us a dress of an intense ruby. On the nose we discover a pleasant aromatic complexity revealing notes of red fruits such as cherry intermixed with a spicy touch. The mouth opens with aromas of black fruits and a touch of vanilla. A real treat from the first sip!

The property
La Sirène de Giscours is the second wine of Château Giscours, Grand Cru Classé de Margaux. The estate is rich in an ancient history dating back to the 14th century. A defensive dungeon overlooked a wild and inhospitable countryside. In 1552, Pierre de Lhomme, a wealthy draper from Bordeaux, bought the noble house of "Guyscoutz" , built around a vast estate and planted the very first vines.

The wine adventure was on the march and the successors of our rich merchant brought their stone to this formidable building. In the nineteenth century, under the leadership of the Promised, Pescatore and other Cruse Giscours is adorned with its finest assets : transformation of the castle neoclassical palace , landscaping a park with rare species by the landscape Eugene Bülher, modernization of production tools with the construction of huge farm buildings, including the famous "Ferme Suzanne" ...
