La Follette Pinot Noir Heintz Vineyard 2016

The pale to medium ruby-purple colored 2016 Pinot Noir Heintz Vineyard offers up warm cherries, mulberries and black raspberries on the nose with touches of star anise, black truffles, violets and black soil. Medium-bodied with a wonderful intensity of red and black fruit, it has very fine-grained, firm tannins and beautiful freshness that lingers right on through the long finish.

Lightly spiced and earthy, with a touch of tree bark and forest floor, this wine shines in tangy raspberry and strawberry flavors, with a backbone of sage and black tea. Light bodied and balanced, it has a persistence of acidity.
