Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus, and Johanniter grapes harvested from a total of .64 hectares, with the vines ranging between 12-38 years old growing on Muschelkalk (shell limestone) with flint. Fermentation begins with cloudy must in stainless steel, with complete malolactic and finished with a tiny addition of sulfur the day before bottling.
These are deeply satisfying, yet sprightly 11% conduits of the best of Franken’s medieval vineyards.
