An old school style of Auslese that drinks more like a Spätlese, this off-dry white is brimming with acidity. Brother Alfred and Rolf Merkelbach work their vineyards in the most traditional of styles, combatting the effects of climate change on the oechsle levels.
Roman winemaking sites abound in this area of the Mosel, and the brothers continue a history thousands of years in the making. Pair with Hunan preserved ham and pickled beans.
