Josef Fischer Gruner Veltliner Federspiel Rossatz 2018

Notes of fern fronds, aromatic ripe pear and cream make for a most appetizing nose. The palate adds bright lemon and a lovely, buffered, yeasty texture. There is lots going on here for such a slender bright wine. The finish is dry and absolutely moreish.

All the grapes are hand harvested. In the cellar, Joe Fischer works only with 100% healthy grape material and handles them as gently as possible. Spontaneous fermentation and long contact on the fine lees are top priorities for precise, elegant and fruit driven wines as well as rich, mineral and concentrated wines with great aging potential.
