DESCRIPTION
The 2017 Joel Gott California Chardonnay has aromas of white peach, papaya and honeysuckle with hints of lemon and jasmine. On the palate, the wine opens with bright fruit flavors, leading to a round mouthfeel on the mid-palate and crisp minerality on the finish.
The grapes used are Grenache Blanc, Cinsault and Counoise from the west side of the Paso Robles. The blend gives an appellation for added depth and a touch of spice. I get neat smells of flowers 💐 and raspberries on the nose with strawberries, apple and spices on the palate.
