Jeunesse Pink Moscato 2020

French for youthful, flavorful and fun, is the newest line of wines to be produced by Herzog Wine Cellars. Consisting of five off-dry bottlings, these wines are great for everyday sipping. Vibrant varietal characteristics are complemented by just a hint of sweetness, creating unique and very food-friendly wines. The Jeunesse wines are a wonderful accompaniment to many spicy and ethnic foods, as well as barbeque dishes. Since they are all served chilled, they are also great for summertime sipping. Winemaker Joe Hurliman takes extra care in the cellar to ensure that the varietal character of each wine shines through.

Since the pigment in red wines comes from keeping fermenting juice in contact with the grape skins for an extended period, it follows that a pink wine can be made using just a brief period of skin contact—usually just a couple of days. The resulting color depends on grape variety and winemaking style, ranging from pale salmon to deep magenta.
