Domaine Jean Chartron has been steadily building their reputation for excellent Burgundy since first established in 1859. Averys have been working with them for over 30 years now, bringing the best of their wines to you. Like this Santenay.The fifth-generation family behind this domain have 14 hectares of vineyard space to their name – many of them Premier Cru and Grand Cru sitesThis white Burgundy comes from their vineyards in Santenay, a Village appellation at the southern tip of the Côtes de Beaune.
Here, wines tend to be fuller and more robust but still retaining a vibrant acidity12 months ageing on its lees in oak barrels have added real depth to this wine, giving it a creamier, fuller texture overlaying the smoky minerality. Aromas of sun-baked limestone, buttery green apples and honeyed citrus. The palate delivers on the flavours promised by the nose, with a generously long finish.
