DESCRIPTION


Only the very best wines are given the name "Jasper" - after a precious stone that is often found in our vineyards. The Jaspis Pinot Noir comes from vineyards with Jura limestone soil. The vines were planted between 1958 and 1965 and represent different Friborg clones.

The vinification of this wine includes spontaneous fermentation with a maceration time of six to eight weeks. The aging takes place on the lees for about 20 months. Neither fining agents nor filtration techniques are used. After bottling, the wine ages in the bottle for another 2.5 years. 

The Jaspis Pinot Noir is a multi-layered wine with excellent balance and a long finish. Although it is luscious and full-bodied, it shows no oiliness.
