Grapes are harvested by hand and put in small cases in order not to damage the fruits. Grapes are pressed softly, they ferment in oak barrels produced by their cooperage. 1/3 are new barrels. Aging usually lasts 15 months before bottling.
Domaine Prieur was founded in Santenay in 1804 by the Prieur family. In 1955, thanks to the marriage of Guy Prieur, who was born in Santenay, and Elisabeth Brunet, who came from Meursault, the domaine was reborn as Domaine Prieur-Brunet. Maison Louis Jadot bought the Domaine in 2017, maintains a link to the work done by the Prieur-Brunet family.
