Wine Enthusiast This relatively recent proprietary red-blend creation continues to impress each vintage, showcasing Paso power with deft balance in pleasing ways. Aromas of blackberry jam, violet extract and root-beer floats proceed from the nose into a comforting palate of strawberry, cola and peppery spices. Firm, lingering tannins lead through the caramel-laced finish.
Tasting Panel This blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon and 31% Petite Sirah with small percentages of Malbec, Saint Macaire, and Merlot aged 18 months in American and Hungarian oak. Intense aromas of blackberry liqueur lead to concentrated flavors of dark chocolate- covered cherry. A hint of tension and chalky tannins keep the palate alert and inspired before the lengthy finish.
Vinous The 2021 Proprietary Red Wine Pure Paso® mixes plum sauce and fig with grilled herbs and dusty dried flowers. It's elegant and refined with supple textures and polished black fruits that envelope the palate in youthful concentration. This leaves a pleasantly chewy saturation and a coating of fine-grained tannins. Finishing long, classically dry and complex.
