• Single cask single malt Scotch whisky produced by Kilchoman Distillery in Islay, Scotland • Bottled exclusively for ImpEx Beverages • Cask no. 756/2015 (ImpEx Cask Evolution 03/2025) • Malted barley from Kilchoman’s 2014 harvest peated to 20 ppm • Water sourced from the Allt Gleann Osamail burn, adjacent to the distillery • Average 82-hour fermentation in stainless steel • Distilled twice in Forsyths copper pot stills • Aged 9 years in a refill Madeira hogshead; cask filled on 7/10/15 and bottled on 2/21/25 • Boldly opening with notes of toffee, caramel, and earthy peat smoke, this unabashedly rich whisky is chock full of candied orange, chocolate, savory tobacco, and glowing ember. Balanced on the finish, as rich smoke continues, blending into candied citrus and stewed fruits. • No added coloring • Cask yielded 292 bottles • Non-chill filtered; bottled at a cask strength of 56.5% ABV Consisting of limited release collaborations with the Kilchoman Distillery, the ImpEx Cask Evolution series explores the effects of a single cask on a maturing whisky. For this release, a refill Madeira hogshead is filled with a lightly peated malt (made from Kilchoman’s own barley) to produce layer upon layer of dried, stewed, and candied fruit notes, intermingled with smoke. This single cask single malt is a US exclusive with only 292 bottles being offered!
