Intrinsic Red 2018

This wine opens with refined notes of raspberry, white tea leaves, a hint of fresh mint and lavender. The flavors are layered with milk chocolate fig reduction, dark plum and licorice root, and the texture is angular, yet sophisticated, with chocolate ganache details in the finish.

Trim and rather tightly wound, with modestly proportioned currant and spice flavors that finish with grippy tannins. Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. 

This spicy blend is based on Cabernet Franc and Malbec, and it leans on the latter heavily in its lush plum fruit and purple floral accents. It’s plump and round, with a good rasher of oak flavors—a pleasing barbecue wine.
