Il Fondo Nene Nero D'Avola 2019

Nero d'Avola, unfortunately an inflated vine, is present in Sicily in so many biotypes, versions, characteristics and interpretations that it is really difficult to outline a single profile. Since it is a very elegant variety, which knows the environment in which it lives very well, not giving it the space it deserves means depriving us of a piece of our culture.

 We cultivate it at 200 m above sea level on fresh soil, with a good presence of limestone and sand and thus we have known a Nero d'Avola plant with abundant vegetation, juicy berries, with purplish tones.

The resulting wine is called Nenè, to pay homage to the story "Il Mare Colore Del Vino" by Leonardo Sciascia. long-lived, fresh, fruity with marked references to cherries and berries. It is so pleasant to drink, in our opinion, that we have worked to make it a companion to our imaginative tables, in which it accompanies both meat and pitch dishes especially if embellished with Mediterranean spices. 

All this, being a red wine, with the aim of restoring cleanliness to the palate and the desire for another bite ... and another sip.
