This is a bold and aromatic Orange Muscat, offering a rich essence of grape, apricot and orange peel. A smooth and full bodied texture users in notes of fresh pineapple, mango and pasion fruit, softly finished by hints of toast. Pairs perfectly with creme brulle, peach cobbler or sharp cheeses.
A lively dessert wine made from orange muscat grapes, this wine hits all of 8.5% alcohol in the bottle, making for a decidedly crushable after-dinner experience. Surprisingly, it’s far less sweet than most late harvest wines I’ve encountered, with notes of apple cider and orange blossoms hitting first, a light vinegar quality adding some peppery buzz to the experience. Light green herbal notes and a bit of grapefruit peel add a refreshing pop to the finish that again subverts expectations from a dessert wine. I’d try mixing low-abv cocktails with this, too.
