DESCRIPTION
A dry grown, ungrafted site planted in 1912 and first bottled as a single-vineyard shiraz in 1952 by the late Cyril Henschke. That makes it the longest consecutively produced single-vineyard wine in Australia. And so distinctive. Rich and opulent with a core of satsuma plums flecked with black pepper, Dutch licorice and bitter chocolate sprinkled with mint and thyme.
Its mouth-coating tannins are assertive yet ripe and the end result is a complex and compelling wine.
