DESCRIPTION

RED is an approachable, pleasure-giving wine produced from 50% Zweigelt, 40% Blaufränkisch, and 10% St. Laurent, aged for 12 months in used 500 L Austrian oak casks. RED comes from three areas: Leitha range, where the vines are planted on limestone; Parndorfer from gravelly soil; and Heideboden from sandy-loam soils.

Tasting Notes

This highly approachable RED is purely harmonious. The composition of its blend reflects the most important grape varieties in the vineyards: Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent.  Purple colour,  cherry nose and hints of floral and spice characters, this RED offers lots a black and red cherry notes on the palate, a refreshing acidity and well managed, round tannins.

Food Pairing

An every-day wine to be enjoyed with a good, simple meal, a picnic or cold cuts.

The easy-drinking entrance ticket to Heinrich’s world of wine is presented in velvety, deep ruby-red. Red-berried fruit, in particular, crisp cherry is the central element of this light-footed blend of the local varieties Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and St. Laurent. This is accompanied by subtle tobacco, peppery notes and thorough juiciness. Sophisticated simplicity is the focus of this cool red wine and simplicity indeed demands mastery. Despite the warm vintage, this wine excels with fruit opulence, moderate alcohol, and subtle tannin as it refreshes with herbal spice and nervy acid.

Bright ruby red in colour. On the nose this wine displays bright cherry and red fruit character with touches of spice. On the palate it is friutdriven, with soft, supple tannins which make it idael for early drinking.
