• Practicing Organic • 100% Grenache • Besson Vineyard (Santa Clara Valley AVA) • One of the oldest plantings in the state, this Grenache was planted head-trained in 1910 • The soil is gravelly clay loam • North-east facing on gentle slope • Harvested October 19th, 2021: moon in Aries • Native ferment, foot-tread daily for 9 days, pressed on day 10 • 60% whole cluster • Aged 10 months in neutral french 220L barrique • Bottled August 17th, 2022: moon in Aries • Production: 111 cases • 13.2% abv
