

Greg Norman Estates Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 |
Flavors of dark plums and black currant are delivered on a silky mouthfeel with velvety tannins and a medium-long finish.A year of barrel aging in French oak gave the wine its discrete wood notes, fine balance and rich finish. Aromas of blackberry and lavender are highlighted by hints of coconut. Intriguing flavors black currant and plums, silky textures and velvety tannins with hints of spice and dark cocoa.
GROWING REGION Paso Robles is located between San Francisco and Los Angeles along California’s Central Coast. The region enjoys a greater day-to-night temperature swing than any other appellation in California. There is great diversity in the region, distinct microclimates, over 45 different soil types and a long growing season. This makes Paso Robles an optimum region for producing premium wines, in particular Cabernet Sauvignon. This diversity allows Greg Norman Estates the flexibility to select the ideal fruit to make this complex, structured and juicy Cabernet Sauvignon.
WINEMAKING The grapes were crushed and fermented an average of seven to 10 days. Pump-overs were gently performed three times a day to extract optimum color and tannin. Post fermentation the wine was aged on French and some American oak to smooth tannins, add complexity and depth offaavor.
WINEMAKER’S NOTES The Greg Norman Estates Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep ruby red color in the glass with inviting aromas of boysenberry, fresh blackberry, plum and warm vanilla spice. The full-bodied wine is has a rich texture and layers of juicy fruitfaavors, vanilla crème and cinnamon spice. This well-balanced has silky tannins and balanced acidity which lends to the lingering cocoafaavored finish.
