An outstanding Spanish sparkling wine, one of the best available on the market, Gramona Celler Batlle is made from 65% Xarel·lo and 35% Macabeo, two native varieties with a great ageing potential.
Located in the Font Jui estate (which bears the Paraje Calificado distinction), the organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards are composed of sandy-clay soils. Climate is Mediterranean.
After a manual harvest, the grapes were meticulously selected and pressed whole bunch. Traditionally vinified, this Corpinnat sparkling wine of the Gramona winery was bottled after completing alcoholic fermentation. Then this organic sparkling wine from Penedès completed secondary fermentation and was aged for a minimum of 120 months.
Manually disgorged, Gramona Celler Batlle 2011 was finally added shipping liquor coming from a centenary solera, one of the Gramona family's most treasured possessions.
