Goulart Malbec Clasico C 2017 |
Grown in the picturesque region of Lujan de Cuyo inthe province of Mendoza, Goulart’s vines enjoy optimal growing conditions and close proximity to the Mendoza River. The grapes for the Clasico are hand-harvested from the Don Lucas and Don Jose vineyards. Following fermentation on the skins in stainless steel tanks, 30% of the wine was racked into second-use French and American oak barrels where it aged for 6 months. It was then bottled and aged an additional 4 months before release.
This entry-level Malbec is a fresh expression of the varietal with intense aromas of plums, cherries, and sour cherries, as well as elegant floral nuances. The tannins are sweet through the long, persistent finish. Goulart Clasico is an everyday value that pairs with a wide range of cuisine. Enjoy within a couple of years of the vintage.
