For Hogue Genesis, we seek wine grapes from the most distinctive vineyard sites in Eastern Washington. This is a serious, full-bodied wine with great aging potential. Pour alongside pan-seared filet mignon, braised short ribs, or grilled rib eye steak with chimichurri sauce.
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with blueberry, cherry, strawberry, molasses, dried tobacco leaf, toast, and cream. The palate is rich and creamy with blackberry, vanilla, maple, cocoa, and spice flavors. Pair with braised short ribs, roast pork, or grilled salmon.
