With roots planted in the early 13th century, the Frapin family is one of the longest lived old school purveyors of Cognac with over 20 consecutive generations successively carrying the torch of this traditional eau de vie. Based in one of the spiritual centers of the region, the Fontpinot estate in Segonzac is dominated by a sprawling single vineyard of which over 200 hectares are planted with Ugni Blanc. Without question one of the best entry-level Cognacs in the world, this expression is full of accessible complexity with notes that include ripe apricots, amaretto cookies, grated nutmeg, chocolate orange, a hint of red licorice, white roses, and more.
