VINEYARD
Favoured vineyards in the province of Verona (Veneto region), in the DOC zone; in the commune of Bardolino and 15 others, all located in the province of Verona; the vines are trained by the Pergola Veronese system on well positioned, hard, stony ground of Morainic origin at an average altitude of 200 metres; the yield of grapes is 110 quintals per hectare with an output of wine of 70%.
VINIFICATION
The ripe grapes, harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October, are vinified by the red wine method, with 8 days of maceration; the fermentation takes place at controlled temperature (28-30°C) with selected indigenous yeasts; the new wine rests in stainless steel before bottling.
WINE
Bright cherry-red colour; fragrant perfume of grapes and cherries, with a hint of violets; dry, clean, very pleasant flavour with an attractive lingering, slightly bitter aftertaste of green almonds.
