A bright and crisp backbone keep this just so drinkable it is a brilliant wine at this price, effortlessly impressive and stylish.
roduced from a single vineyard whose name references the steep slopes that are considered a “beast” to cultivate by the vineyard workers, the label artistically reflects this characteristic. Full in body and well-structured, Poggio Bestiale bursts from the glass with blackberries and licorice aromas, and hints of smoke and graphite. Its elegance is marked by the sweet tannins that linger on the palate along with aromas of leather and spices. New, medium-toasted French oak barrels are used for aging the wine for 14-18 months. The wine is cellared in bottle for 6 months for further refinement.
