Famille Perrin Cotes du Rhone Nature 2016 |
This Côtes-du-Rhône 2016 is like a bowl of very dense and ripe black and red fruit. Notes of crushed strawberries, balanced by a beautiful freshness of spices from Provence and its Garrigues. On the palate, this wine is beautifully balanced in richness and freshness, a good structure with fine and elegant tannins. The finish is long and aromatic.
Made with organic grapes, this full-bodied red offers ripe but restrained blackberry and plum flavors framed by fine, grippy tannins. Brisk acidity lends freshness to the midpalate and the finish is marked by hints of carmelized sugar and anise.

Okay, but no better
As the title says, okay but no better than that. Given the general high quality of Perrin Family wines, this was a mild disappointment.
